New York magazine is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Gospel’s first release in 1964.
The issue, published in November, also features interviews with a number of the artists who would go on to make the Gospel their own.
Among the artists featured are John Cale, the late David Bowie, and Peter Gabriel, whose song “Jesus and Mary” is one of the earliest songs to hit the charts.
The magazine also features a special feature on Christian musician David Gans.
The Gospel of Jodie Foster is one that I think every Christian music lover has heard, which is a pretty unique one in that there is no obvious parallel to the other classical, classical rock or pop music that came before it.
That’s a pretty amazing achievement.
There are so many things about Jodien Foster that I don’t know if there’s anything else I can add to that.
The interview with Foster’s husband, Peter Gabriel has been edited for length and clarity.
