New Ohio Church of the Living God is the latest church to be accused of Christian dogma.
The Ohio Christian University-owned church of the living god was founded in 1989 and claims to have more than 30,000 followers worldwide.
A lawsuit filed in federal court in Ohio alleges that members of the church have been involved in the cult-like practice of religious worship since its inception.
According to the complaint, members of New Ohio’s church allegedly attend Bible study meetings, make prayer requests to the living God, participate in a “secret” Bible study session, and teach bible reading in a church building.
Members of the Ohio church also allegedly read the bible in a private room.
A representative for New Ohio declined to comment to Ars on the lawsuit.
